Defining Movers

The word Movers brings up certain images. A truck springs to mind for most people. Moving equipment and large, strong men also work for most people. That is where the experience starts to change. Some readers have great memories of respectful workers. Others think of crude carriers who do a bad job. What defines a “Mover” for you? We will tell you what it means to us.

It is Our Job to Secure Items
At base you expect your team to transport items with care. A lot can happen during a trip but most it is avoidable. We do our best to insure that your items reach their destination undamaged. We also have insurance for unavoidable problems.

Movers “Move”
Too many people deal with workers who loaf around. They don’t work fast and get things done way after schedule. When you choose someone to transport your family they need to “move”.

Team Members Must be Respectful
The contract between a worker and a client is simple. Mutual respect matters for both parties. As such a good mover respects their client and receives that respect back. It is something that separates bad movers from good ones.

“Due Diligence” Before and After a Move
This is where many companies fall off. It is the job of your team to keep your items safe. This means before and after they are on the truck. They must take care to load and unload them in a safe manner. A “Mover” must do their due diligence. If they protected your valuables to the best of their ability then they did their job.

Physical Capability
Some moves are easy and do not take much effort. Those only come up now and then. Most jobs are difficult on some level. A great transporter needs to have both strength and toughness. There is a saying about “never trust a skinny cook” and the same applies to an unfit mover. Medical dictionaries talk about this under “Movers” as well.

Movers Must Communicate
This is a two-way street. In order for a project to work everyone must talk with each other. While that may seem obvious too many teams and clients do not realize this. Valuable items go missing and breakables are not packed in a safe way due to bad communication. We want to hear from you and get the best results possible.

Courtesy Concerns
Another thing that sets good movers apart from great ones is courtesy. You should expect some respect from anyone you work with. Too many moving companies let this lapse. They allow their people to treat customers with disrespect. At the same time it is important for you, the client, to respect them as well. When either part of this relationship lapses it causes many problems.

Teamwork Considerations
Movers also need to work as a team. Single-person moving teams do not exist. It is a tough job that can break your body down without people to help you. That is why you need to make sure your group works well together.
